Home dental visits or a dentist coming to your home is available for patients who have limited mobility or are recovering from a debilitating condition.
We provide personalised dental visits for home bound patients who require a fresh set of dentures or whose dentures are loose and would like a replacement set.
If you are a caregiver, home dental visits can be a convenient way for your homebound parents or relatives to receive dental care without stepping into a dental clinic.
toofus™ Dental is an accredited mobile dental clinic provider with the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Our home dental visits are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays with extended hours available on request.
Please take note that all home dental visits are by advanced appointments only and cannot be arranged without prior appointments.

The visit begins with listening to your concerns and reviewing your current oral health, medical history and denture requirements with you.
We will then use a 3D intraoral photogrammetry scanner to do detailed scans of your gums, teeth (if any), and bite.

This option brings your consultation, dental cleaning and denture scans into one planned home visit.

We begin by reviewing your dental concerns, medical history and any existing dentures you may have.
We will then examine your mouth, discuss what you would like to improve for your new set of dentures.

2nd Visit: Denture Delivery and Fit Adjustments

If you require more complex treatments like implant surgery or extensive staged treatments and are in a wheelchair, our wheelchair accessible clinics may offer a more suitable setting.

Clinic appointments give your dentist access to dental chairs, imaging and equipment that may not be practical to bring into a home. Every single toofus™ clinic is equipped with:

Before booking, tell us which mobility aid you use, whether you need step free access, and whether transferring from your wheelchair is difficult or not possible. Our patient coordinator team will help you with the necessary arrangements.

Arrange for Special Needs Dentistry Support
Some patients need more preparation or a different pace to feel comfortable receiving dental care.
If you or someone you care for has sensory sensitivities, a physical disability, or an intellectual or developmental disability, tell us before booking so we can discuss useful adjustments.
These may include a longer appointment, a quieter time when available, clear information about what will happen and breaks during the visit. We can learn about communication preferences, familiar routines, sources of discomfort and the support a trusted person can provide. For some patients, a short introductory visit before treatment may be useful.
The aim is to plan the visit around the person, with enough time to explain choices and build trust.

Request for Dental Anxiety Relief or Sedation
If you or the person you are caring for is worried about dental appointments, you can let us know.
Anxiety can sometimes be caused by the sound of instruments, fear of pain or concern about losing control.
We will listen without judgement and discuss how to make the visit easier to manage.
Options may include an explanation before each step, a signal to pause, planned breaks, more time for the appointment and appropriate pain control. For some patients, sedation may be considered. Availability and suitability depend on the procedure, your medical history, the dentist’s assessment and the facilities at the clinic. We explain preparation and aftercare before you decide.

When am I suitable for home dental visits?
Home dental visits may suit patients who have difficulty travelling to a clinic because of reduced mobility, frailty, disability or recovery from surgery.
They can also help when a familiar setting makes dental care less stressful.
In most cases, home dental visits are suitable if you have recently undergone surgery and have limited range of movement or mobility.
Before confirming a house call, please tell us about medical conditions, medications, allergies, breathing difficulties, mobility needs and the main dental concern. We can then advise whether a home assessment is appropriate or a clinic setting would be safer.
If someone is newly short of breath, has difficulty breathing or swallowing, or has rapidly worsening facial swelling, seek urgent medical care instead of waiting for a home dental visit.
