All-on-3

During your consultation, your dentist examines your teeth and gums and assesses whether All-on-3 is a suitable option for replacing your teeth. 

Your dentist will consider factors such as the condition of your remaining teeth, gum health, available jawbone and any existing dental conditions. If you still have teeth in the affected arch, your dentist will also determine whether they should be removed or kept.

If you decide to proceed with treatment, a 3D CBCT scan will be taken to provide a more detailed view of your jawbone and surrounding structures. 

The scan allows your dentist to assess the height and width of your available bone and plan the position, size and angle of the dental implants. It also helps your dentist to plan around important structures such as nerves and sinuses. 

If there is insufficient bone to support the implants, your dentist may recommend bone grafting before your All-on-3 treatment.

Before your All-on-3 treatment, your teeth will be thoroughly cleaned with Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT). This helps to create a clean oral environment before your implants are placed.

Before placement, the dental implants are treated with cold plasma to clean and activate the implant surface. This makes the implants more receptive to contact with the surrounding bone and tissue, improving osseointegration and healing.

Before the treatment begins, the area will be numbed with local anaesthesia. Your dentist will then place the three implants in their planned positions. Depending on your treatment plan and anatomy, guided implant surgery may also be used to help with the implant placement. 

After the implants are fixed, the surgical areas will be sutured. Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBM) is then used to promote healing and reduce the risk of post-surgical inflammation.

After your implant surgery, you will receive a provisional bridge. This is a temporary set of fixed replacement teeth that you will use while your implant and the surrounding structures heal. This is not your final All-on-3 bridge.

Approximately two weeks later, you will return to the clinic to have your sutures removed. During this appointment, your dentist will also check on the surgical site and ensure that healing is on track. 

Your implants will then be given time to integrate with the surrounding jawbone in a process called osseointegration.

You will return to the clinic three months later for your dentist to assess the stability of your implants. At toofus™ Dental, an Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) device is used to assess how securely the implants have integrated with the jawbone.

Once your dentist is satisfied with your implants’ stability, you will undergo a 3D intraoral scan to create your final All-on-3 bridge. 

Your dentist will choose the tooth shade that is closest to your natural tooth colour and send the information to the lab for fabrication.

Approximately 1-2 weeks later, you will return to the clinic to have your final bridge fitted. We will remove your provisional bridge and replace it with your final bridge.
