What Most Patients Say About Dentures
Affordable Alternative To Dental Implants
Unlike dental implants, dentures do not require bone graft or any additional dental services before proceeding with treatment.
The cost of dentures are also relatively affordable.
Fast Treatment
Get your teeth back in less than 7 days or 14 days for full dentures.
Great for Restoring Aesthetics
If you are missing a few front teeth but do not wish to undergo dental implant surgery, or are unsuitable for dental implants, dentures can be a good way to restore your smile.
Durable and Long-Lasting
Most denture patients have had their dentures for more than 10 years.
A good quality denture that is well-maintained can last for a long time without change.
Easy to Maintain
Dentures are fuss-free and easy to maintain.
All you have to do is pop it in for a wash after meals and remove it when you are about to sleep.
Speak and Chew Properly
Instead of eating without teeth or speaking with a slight lisp, dentures can help you eat the foods that you want.
Partial Dentures Patient Journey at toofus™ Dental
X-rays (OPG)
When you first enter toofus™ Dental for a denture consultation, you will be led to take an X-ray (OPG).
The OPG X-ray helps us determine what other underlying dental conditions you have so that we can better advise you on your oral health and treatment plan.
This also acts as a documentation of your oral health.
toofus™ does not charge for all X-rays (OPG) done at our dental clinic as we believe that X-ray diagnostics help our dentists treat you better.
Consultation and Assessment
During the consultation and assessment, your dentures dentist will begin taking a thorough look in your mouth and at your teeth.
In some cases where teeth can no longer be saved, your dentures dentist will inform you about this. Should you wish to proceed with treatment, damaged teeth will be extracted.
Dental Impressions are Taken
Dental impressions are then taken of your remaining teeth.
These dental impressions help the dental lab establish the bite and position of your teeth, as well as missing teeth.
At toofus™ Dental, depending on your personal preference, we use either dental putty which is the traditional way of taking impressions, or digital impressions with a 3D intraoral scanner.
Dentures are Issued
Once your impressions are taken, they are either cast into a stone (if done with traditional impressions) or sent via a digital file to the dental lab.
The dental lab then returns the final dentures to us in 5 to 7 days.
You are then scheduled for your denture issue appointment where we will adjust your dentures to ensure comfort and fit.

Total Treatment Duration for Partial Dentures

3

All-on-X Dental Implants

Dentures: Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about dentures and more.
Can I use Medisave for my dentures?
It is not possible to use Medisave for your dentures.
Medisave covers surgical procedures like dental implants, block bone grafting, gum surgery, or sinus lifts.
It does not cover general dentistry procedures like dentures.
If you are looking to take up dentures treatment, it is possible to subsidise your cost of treatment with CHAS. Some dental insurance providers may also cover dentures.
How much will my dentures cost after CHAS subsidy?
Depending on what CHAS card you have, the final cost of your dentures will be dependent on your CHAS card tier.
Green CHAS cards are not eligible for any dental subsidies.
However, Orange, Blue, Merdeka and Pioneer CHAS cards can enjoy CHAS subsidy.
If you would like a full breakdown on the cost of denture treatment post CHAS, please refer to our extensive list of treatment costs.
Can I wear dentures if I am waiting for my dental implant crown?
How long can dentures last?
What is the main difference between dentures and dental implants?
Should I get boil and bite dentures that are sold online?
While boil and bite dentures are being marketed as a patient lifesaver and the cheaper way of getting out of seeing a dentist for dentures, it is not a good idea to get your dentures off the shelf or in a Do-It-Yourself fashion.
Dentists are trained to help you establish a good bite relationship between your upper and lower arches when you head in to the dental clinic for dentures.
This is often not possible with boil and bite dentures.
The dentures might look aesthetically the same but may not have the same technical accuracy as one done at a dental clinic.
Should you wish to save on dentures, you might want to consider searching for affordable denture clinics that can offer you lower cost dentures done by a dental professional.
