Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)

The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) was implemented to help patients like yourself receive both medical and or dental subsidies at participating General Practitioner (GP) and dental clinics.

Patients who hold valid CHAS, Merdeka or Pioneer Generation cards are able to enjoy substantial subsidies on their dental treatment care.

As of 2025, only Orange, Blue, Merdeka and Pioneer CHAS cardholders are eligible for dental subsidies at dental clinics. Green CHAS cards are unable to subsidise the cost of dental treatment with their CHAS card.

Medisave

Medisave for dental care uses your CPF Medisave to subsidise the cost of your surgical dental treatments.

It is possible to use your Medisave to cover the following surgical dental treatments:

Wisdom tooth surgery
Retained roots surgery
Buried tooth surgery
Block bone graft surgery
Sinus lift surgery
Dental implant surgery.

Medisave is unable to cover dental treatments like dental crowns, dental bridges, digitally guided dental implant surgery, or dentures.

Baby Bonus

The Baby Bonus (Child Development Co-Savings) Scheme helps to relieve the financial costs of raising your child.

The scheme includes a cash gift, and the Child Development Account (CDA).

When the CDA is opened, the child receives the CDA First Step. The government matches dollar-for-dollar contributions that are added to the account.

The Baby Bonus can be used for dental treatments at dental clinics.
