Bone Graft Surgery
Perform a bone graft surgery to prepare for dental implants on your lower or upper implant site. Bone graft from $300 NETT per implant site.
Single Site Bone Graft
A single site graft using bone granules to fill for minor bone loss. Ideal for socket preservation or mild bone loss. It is less invasive, quicker healing, and often done during implant surgery. There is a lower cost and minimal downtime.
Block Bone Graft
A block bone graft is a solid piece of bone fixed to rebuild severe bone loss. It is usually done for major ridge defects, especially when height or width is lacking. The procedure is more invasive, requires a longer healing period, and done before implant placement.

What Most Patients Say About Bone Grafting Treatment
Enables Implant Placement in Areas With Bone Loss
Bone grafting rebuilds jawbone that has shrunk or weakened, making it possible to place dental implants where it was previously impossible. This is especially helpful after long-term tooth loss, gum disease, or trauma that caused bone to disappear over time.
Expands Teeth Replacement Treatment Options
By rebuilding lost bone, bone grafting opens the door to more advanced dental replacement solutions, such as full-arch fixed bridges.
Without bone grafting, many patients are limited to removable dentures or may require compromises in implant placement.
Improves Implant Stability and Longevity
A strong foundation of bone helps dental implants fuse better and last longer.
Bone grafting creates the ideal environment for osseointegration, which is the process where your implant bonds securely to your jawbone for long-term success.
Supports Surrounding Teeth and Structures
Bone grafts can help stabilize nearby natural teeth that have lost support due to bone loss.
This strengthens the entire dental arch and can prevent future shifting, gum issues, or tooth loosening, especially in patients with previous periodontal disease.
Prevents Facial Collapse and Bone Shrinkage
When teeth are missing, the jawbone starts to shrink and the face can appear sunken.
Bone grafting helps preserve and restore your natural facial shape by rebuilding the bone that supports your cheeks, lips, and jawline.
This helps you look younger and healthier.
Enhances Aesthetics for Front Teeth (Anterior) Implants
In the front of the mouth (smile zone), good bone volume is critical for a natural look.
Bone grafting helps ensure that implants in visible areas sit in the correct position and are supported by a smooth gum line, enhancing smile aesthetics.
Bone Grafting Patient Journey at toofus™ Dental
1st Visit: X-rays (OPG)
Most patients who come to toofus™ Dental to find out that they need bone grafting done before dental implants come in for a dental implant consultation first.
During the dental implant consultation, you will be led to take an X-ray (OPG).
The OPG X-ray helps us determine your suitability for dental implants as well as whether you require bone grafting or a sinus lift.
Key factors that would qualify you for dental implants are strong bone and gum health, with no signs of infection or gum disease.
It also helps your attending dentist see whether there are any other underlying dental conditions you have so that we can better advise you on your oral health and treatment plan.
This also acts as a documentation of your oral health.
toofus™ does not charge for all X-rays (OPG) done at our dental clinic as we believe that X-ray diagnostics help our dentists treat you better.
1st Visit: Consultation and Assessment
During the consultation and assessment, your dental implant dentist will begin taking a thorough look in your mouth and at your teeth.
For All-on-X dental implants, it is essential to ensure that your bone health and gums are healthy and strong before proceeding with treatment.
1st Visit: CBCT Scans
Should you wish to proceed with dental implants treatment, CBCT 3D scans are taken of your teeth.
The 3D imaging scans help your dental implant dentist establish the depth and width of your bone.
It also helps us see what diameter the dental implant screw has to be, as well as how it should be angled to avoid critical anatomical structures.
In the case of insufficient bone depth, your dentist will inform you about the need for bone grafting.
At toofus™ Dental, we only use natural bone for our bone grafting procedures. We do not use synthetic bone graft materials as synthetic graft do not absorb as well as natural bone.
2nd Visit: Bone Grafting
2nd Visit: Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBM)
Once the suturing process is completed, we use a special laser called Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBM) on the surgical site.
This laser helps promote healing and safeguards against inflammation post-surgery.
3rd Visit: Suture Removal
You will return in 2 weeks to remove your sutures and check in on the healing of your surgical site.
4th Visit: Bone Stability and Osseointegration Review
You will return in 3 months after your sinus lift surgery for a review.

Total Treatment Duration for Bone Grafting

The total treatment duration for a bone grafting procedure is usually 30 to 90 minutes depending on how much bone is being placed, the location of the bone graft, and whether the procedure is being done simultaneously with a dental implant surgery.

Everything you need to know about bone grafting and more.
Can I use Medisave for my bone graft surgery?
Yes, and no.
No it is not possible to use Medisave to cover the cost of your single-site bone graft, but yes, it is possible to use Medisave to do a block bone graft procedure (multiple and extensive bone grafting).
The total amount of subsidy allowed for each procedure would be up to $1,690 per block grafting procedure.
However, due to the high cost of natural bone graft, you might be asked to pay out-of-pocket for a portion of the expenses.
How much will my bone grafting surgery cost in Singapore?
Your final cost of your bone grafting procedure will vary according to the amount of bone required, and the placement of the bone graft.
At toofus™ Dental, the cost of bone graft will cost from $300 – $350 per implant site. This would be out-of-pocket as it cannot be covered by Medisave.
Should you require block grafting before your multiple implants procedure, the cost will be from $400 (out-of-pocket) and $1,690 (Medisave).
When do I need bone graft before dental implants?
You will probably need bone graft before dental implants surgery if you have extensive bone loss or if your jawbone is too thin and weak.
When you lose a tooth, more than 25% of bone loss can happen in the first year of tooth loss.
In some cases, your jawbone might also have deteriorated because of gum (periodontal) disease or dental trauma.
